MN SWCS Allocation of Surplus Funds Survey

Background: The Executive Committee is seeking ideas on how to allocate $30,000. The majority of these funds were a result of a successful National meeting which we hosted in 2004. The Chapter Executive Committee, based on ongoing discussions with members and a facilitated discussion after the 2008 Invasive Species Conference in Duluth, developed a proposed spending plan. That plan, which follows, is general—by design. We ask your assistance in adding more detail to the plan. We developed a survey to tabulate your suggestions. The Executive Committee will use these results to develop a proposal for member consideration.

Please note: The information you provide will be useful, but is not all that is needed! Guidelines, including maximum and minimum awards, eligibility criteria and the relationship between these funds and regular Chapter funds must be developed. Additional comments are indeed welcome. Please contact any member of the Executive Committee.
